I am not sure what it is about this window that keeps grabbing my attention. I think it is the excellent visual images. I love full frontal figure paintings, drawings or photography. It has a formal tone and is very common in a by-gone era where a person proudly poses in regalia in front of wallpaper-like backdrops . This artistic style kind of reminds me of Vladimir Grigoryevich Tretchikof famous work.
I will leave the words above unedited because it is only after studying the pic that I noticed the signature on the images and on the backdrop (I apologise, this is not the best pic as it was taken in haste). I deciphered part of the name and then googled to find the most amazing New York based artist Kehinde Wiley. Have a look at this link Puma x Kehinde Wiley Spring / Summer 2010 Collection to view better quality visual images and to view the most amazing product. Further to this I have just found out that PUMA commisions contemporary artist Kehinde Wiley to create portraits of African football players to celebrate World Cup 2010 campaign. Pure genius!
